apparently, it was nice once. Then it seems they would be paid better with asylum seekers, then sold it. The new owner must be regretting it. bad. We booked 3 nights and when it is minus 5 degrees, you want to have a shower or bath and the water is lukewarm at best whie they insist it is hot because th eboiler sazys 70 degrees. Heating was probably using most of that because the water sucked. Complained but no luck. Apologetic, but that does not warm anything. we checked out the same evening ab=nd requested a refund which was denied. Also, no breakfasts, dinner, bar. nothing Avoid at east untill the new owner sorts things out

Cancelled a friend's wedding with less than 1 weeks notice without any explanation. A few days later it was discovered they took in immigrants because they would make more money. Absolutely appalling people running this place and I hope this comes back around to bite them.

Kicked out homeless Brits staying at the hotel. Cancelled locals weddings and parties and then decided to take in migrants who cross the English Channel illegally. Disgusting. Hope it liquidates eventually

Not visited but understand it is now used to house immigrants, a very short distance from an infants school. Local MP, Mark Francois disgusted the owners evicted long term residents with not much notice and cancelled prebooked events like weddings etc (believe no monies been refunded yet either). It was all on the news, BBC Essex covered it. Beauchamps senior school a short walk away too. Local residents not happy at all, who can blame them?

They cancelled our booking a week before arrival with no explanation why. They didn't answer any emails, online enquiries, Facebook messages, phone calls and after leaving one message, their inbox became full and therefore they were completely unable to be contacted at this point. Our family were booked at the same hotel so we could be with them for the first time in 3 years. Identical booking yet only one was cancelled. Huge red flag on any hotel who treats their guests like this. Stay away.

Truly shocking drink service. Attended a black tie dinner for 100 guests. Informed on arrival that they only had 5 bottles of Prosecco. This was Asda Prosecco which retails for £5.99, but Chichester sell for £32 (And Asda have a ‘buy 6 and get 25% off’, offer at the moment, so why not send out for more?) And they were selling cans of kronenburg for £4.50 each! They ran out of Prosecco by 8pm and I spent most of the evening gate crashing the other two function rooms in search of drinks for our table of ten. Apparently, they can’t move stock from one function to another to restock the bars. Never seen anything like this before when attending black tie balls. Absolute disgrace!

A horrible run down hotel. Kicking people out of there hotel rooms so they can bring in loads of illegal immigrants. The hotel manager should be ashamed of himself and what it’s going to do to the local community.

This hotel is a disgrace! Don’t bother booking a room as you won’t get one! Evicting their long term residents to take a bung of cash from the Home Office! Hopefully their now former residents find somewhere else, preferably somewhere that doesn’t look as much of a dump as this hotel!

Rather disappointing We booked a room for Sunday night 12th June, when we arrived first impressions were not great, car park was overgrown with weeds, and needed a good tidy up. We originally booked a superior double room back in 2019 for a wedding, but due to covid it was cancelled. The room was kept as a credit for future use.. On arrival we were given the Bridal Suite room 213(an upgrade I thought!) But rather disappointed as it was to the back of the hotel overlooking the Building Contractors Tate & Morgan. The room was clean and spacious but the bed was like a board (really hard and uncomfortable, I had back ache the next morning) The other issue was the Mira electric shower which did not heat up, and the water trickled out from the controls and also lack of flow. We stay in quite a few hotels due to my husband's line of work, and I have to be honest I don't think we will stay here again! On a positive note the room was very clean.

We were at a function food was good however there was no draft beer as there was a problem with the gas that no one could sort .so offered a bottled bitter...it was 4 months out of date!..took that back! No hand towels in mens toilets and no toilet paper in ladies. Pretty disappointing to be honest..nice venue....

One of the worst stays I've ever had. I was in room 101 (I know) which was next to a fire escape and people were in and out of it ALL night. The pillows were also strangely tiny! If I wanted to sleep I would have had to wear ear plugs and bring my own pillows.

Reception Staff Unhelpful, BAR CLOSES AT 9PM NO CHEF AVAILABLE STAFF TAKE THE MICK OUT OF DISABLED CUSTOMERS I OVERHEARD THEM IN THE BAR THE PLACE IS SO OUTDATED ITS UNREAL STAFF NOT FRIENDLY OR WILLING TO HELP BEEN REPORTED TO LOCAL LICENSING AS THEY PUT EXTRA UNWANTED MEASURES IN YOUR DRINKS

Stayed here overnight to attend a wedding at Stockbrook Manor. Sad to say that this hotel is in some serious need of updating and modernisation. Rooms were very basic and shower/toilet facilities quutevunacceptable. Your legs are right up against the towel rail so you're sitting uncomfortably at a wierd angle. I smashed my head twice when taking showers.No room to shower comfortable and the shower head was so bad it kept sliding down and not fot for purpose.I opted to pay £10 p.p for the breakfast...a total waste of:£50 I've ever spent!!! Poor poor quality and food was quite cold...if we had more time I would have sent it all back was really unacceptable!!! We checked out and gave my feedback to reception and they also agreed rooms were very basic and the owner was being bought put by new owners ..Trust me this can't happen quick enough and of the new owners are reading this,get in there and sort this place out as its clear that the current owners don't care amd have given up!!! I hope this is read and your feedback or even a phone call back would be appreciated as I've only scratched the surface here!!!
